Jerzy Zaniewski is now in his third year as the Red Star Brampton head coach, after leading them to the league podium twice, most notably the PCSL Vice Championship in 2012.
Native of Bialystok, Poland, Zaniewski attended AWF Biala Podlaska where he studied theory of coaching soccer and sports. Subsequent to his playing career, Zaniewski joined the technical staff at Jagiellonia Bialystok, one of the most well known Professional clubs in Poland. Working alongside the famous Ryszard Karalus, who helped shaped talents of many well known Polish internationals and players, such as Tomasz Frankowski, Jacek Bayer, Jarosław Gierejkiewicz and Dariusz Czykier.
Zaniewski would after take his experience to Canada, being apart of the professional soccer club the Toronto Falcons coaching staff. Later, Zaniewski would join Bialo-Czerwoni Toronto, Polonia 94, and finally Polonia 92 Mississauga, guiding the team to several successful conference championships and regional titles. Among other clubs, Zaniewski has also coached at Dixie Soccer Mississauga, and Polonia 99.
In addition to soccer, Zaniewski is also a certified handball coach, athletic therapist and personal trainer.
